I'm Ellis Ricketts, an illustrator and graphic designer with over 20 years of experience, and for the past five years, I've been fortunate to make a meaningful impact in the film industry. I specialize in bringing ideas to life through vivid, engaging visuals, and my work has been featured in major productions like Star Trek: Discovery on Paramount+, JANE on Apple TV+, Reacher on Amazon Prime, and The Umbrella Academy on Netflix. As an illustrator, I’ve helped shape the unique visual worlds of these shows, and I’m proud to contribute to the storytelling that makes them so compelling.

CONCEPT ART
From concept art and digital painting to 3D modeling, rendered rooms and environments, and seamless photo compositing, I build cinematic visuals that turn raw ideas into fully realized worlds.
ILLUSTRATION
My illustrative work is rooted in storytelling, combining hand drawing, digital painting, painted effects, graphic treatments, and original art creation to give props, costumes, fabrics, and environments a distinct and believable visual life.
ART DIRECTION
Though not officially titled Art Director, I’ve repeatedly stepped into that space—guiding visual development, leading teams, mentoring artists, building breakdowns, managing budgets, and helping turn creative vision into something tangible, cohesive, and production-ready.
